Police found the man's body around 8:45 a.m., Thursday, May 9, after the Westport Police Department received a call regarding the body in the area of 132 Beachside Ave., said Westport Police Lt. Jillian Cabana.
Beachside Avenue was temporarily closed to through traffic but has since been reopened, Cabana said.
A deceased elderly white male was located, she said.
The man's identity will be released following the notification of next of kin.
The incident is currently being investigated by members of the Westport Police Detective Bureau.
